Retirement of Centre Manager

“Our Centre Manager Colin has decided to step down from leading Dukes Barn and will retire at the end of the year. He will be succeeded by Jason Higginson, who will become Centre Manager with effect from 1st October 2023.

Colin has supported Dukes Barn for some 30 years, initially as an Instructor and for the last eight years as Centre Manager. He has had a profound influence on the development of Dukes Barn, and the Trustees are enormously grateful for his leadership and customer focus. Dukes Barn, like all outdoor centres, has been through some difficult times, and the continual support of our volunteers and loyal customer base is a testament to Colin’s leadership. The trustees wish him well in his retirement, which, as those of you who know Colin well will realise, is sure to be very active!

Jason is no stranger to Dukes Barn, having previously worked as an Instructor and latterly as the Office Manager. His dedication and contributions to our organisation have been invaluable, making him a well-respected and familiar face among our staff and patrons.

Dukes Barn is at an exciting point in its development. The Trustees are very much looking forward to working with Jason as we look to see how we can expand to meet the increasing customer demand and enhance our long-term future.”
