Freelance Instructors Dukes Barn draws upon the services of other local freelance instructors to work on many of its courses. They are selected for their suitability to work with the specific group involved. The minimum qualifications we require for instructing the following activities are:
Hill walking	Mountain Walking Leader Award (summer)
Rock climbing	MLTB Single Pitch Award
Abseiling	MLTB Single Pitch Award
Canoeing	BCU Coach level 2
Caving	Local Cave Leader Award (relevant to the cave trip)
All instructors will have a current first aid qualification. Assistant instructors working on any course will have relevant experience and will have received appropriate training.
