About the charity
It supports charities/organisations/individuals, whose primarily focus is providing sporting/recreational activities for individuals with special needs by reason of age, infirmity or disability, to improve their conditions of life and also locally in areas of social welfare, education, leisure and the protection/development of the environment.
What is the The Kilworth Challenge?
The Kilworth Challenge is a charity competition team event run over two days in and around North Kilworth, Leicestershire. Similar events run by many companies are aimed at team building.
This event is for the fun and enjoyment of the competitors whilst
raising money to support organisations whose main aims are to
provide outdoor activities for those who through disability or other
ways are less fortunate. Some of the money raised also supports
many other local organisations. |The Kilworth Challenge| ![]()
We are fortunate to be able to use Emperor Lake on the Chatsworth House estate and with this equipment and portable hoist we are now able to share this experience with disabled youngsters.
With another grant from the Kilworth Challenge we were able to install 2 automatic sliding doors to the centre enabling our wheelchair users to enter and exit the centre and independently access the play areas.
In 2010 Kilworth Challenge donated funds to the Center which enabled us to complete a two year project, our new All Weather Sports Surface. Click the link to find out more...
