A recurring problem with our on site facilities is the lack of an all weather play area for children with physical disabilities, particularly wheel chair users. The grass play surface is totally unsuitable even in dry conditions. The project under way is to lay a suitable hard surface on a part of our present grass area.
Work has started but due the the weather conditions work has had to stop, but we are hopeful the all weather surface will be completed in the spring.
This we will enhance the opportunity for sports and team games for wheelchair users and give them an alternative to using the busy car park. |
