On the 10th of September 2009 forty volunteers from Kellogg's worked their socks off to create a beautiful crazy paving path in the sensory garden, giving wheelchair users greater access to this quite area of the centre.
Other volunteers were varnishing the picnic benches and making modifications to the wheelchair accessible ropes course.
The day started at around 9.30 and finished at 4.30 there was a great atmosphere with everyone being busy and a lot of work done.
"A fantastic way to have a great fun, interactive and make new friends, whilst adding value and making a worthwhile contribution to a really great centre"
Many thanks to Stancliffe Stone for the donation of the grit stone crazy paving
Markovitz of Darley Dale for the sand and cement
Tarmac Ltd for the gravel
and
HSS tool hire for their charity discount
